hazmail
hello, Im looking at makeing some salt water poppers but i dont know where to begin at. I currently pour my own swimbaits and worms but I have not tried to make any type of hard baits. can any body help me please. thank you bluefin- just done a search, you should find an answer in here : http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1 I live in Australia and most of our poppers are a lot smaller than you probably want - For larger poppers, broom handle/dowel and a lathe seem to be the way to go there. Hope this helps. Pete
wetflyguy
You can get all sizes of dowels 7/8" and 3/4" are theones I use most Up to 1 1/2 " if you want. I get them at the home centers , they are mostly poplar so make shure you seal good. wet
mark poulson
If you want to make some magnum poppers, get some 1 3/8" fir clothes pole. You'll need a good surf rod to cast them, but they'll pop enough to attract Jaws.
