Frank
I am trying to convince my self it was my skirts but I know it was all you and your partner. Good job guys. Frank

mark poulson
Frank, An Ika wouldn't be an Ika without a skirt, and I could never pour those myself, so your skirts were a big part of it. And your skirts flare perfectly on the fall. Thanks again. Dave, I don't think the stuff the store's have is junk, but it is thrown by everyone else. I know our SoCal lakes get so much pressure, having a "different" lure helps, and being able to pour the colors I want, instead of what's available commercially, is great. My partner stuck a 2+ on a margarita mutillator 111 Robo worm, curly tail, first thing, and then I started wacking them with my Ikas. We typically each throw something different, to cover more fish. He only got a couple of small keeper bites on the 4 1/2" worm, while I culled us up all day. Finally, he decided to try the Ika, and started sticking better fish, too. But the guy who won, a good friend, pours his own worms, too.
daveh
have not bought a brand name bait in years. with over 200 molds i don`t need to. lol. if they did not use cheap plastic and load them with salt maybe i would buy some. but like you said differant baits that we pour and bass have not seen. diierant colors and softer boyant baits catches fish when no one else is. I use Del's plastic. I love it. I typically add salt and softner. But I'd like to pour just the plastic with glitter in my worms. How do I achieve soft, but tough? powerworm
try a medium compound from like calhouns for your toughness. i use BBCP medium in the original formula and it is just a tad softer than calhouns but i think you will like it!!
