Modifying My Mold For An Injector

I just bought a new mold from basstackle. I'm having a ridiculusly hard time getting complete baits on my pours. I've added heat stabilizer and super heated the plastic, and warmed the mold on a hot plate, but 90% of the pours end up incomplete. This is with no salt at all. It only gets more difficult when i add the salt content I really want

I'm ordering an injector from basstackle next week, but I'd like to know if I need to grind out exhaust ports near the tail section to allow gas to escape, or can I inject just as it is. The simple answer is try it and see, but I'm certain some one here has already been through this.

BTW, I'm pleased with that color. 1/2 teaspoon White pearl powder, 20 drops of greenpumpkin, a pinch of fine copper flake, fine black flake, and a big pinch of large gold flake. I think it's pretty

I have both the mold and injector and you can shoot without modification. I also hand pour it without problem in white pearl. Dont add vents until you shoot it with an injector or you might get to clean the vent sprues also. You will love the injector. Frank

My injector came in yesterday. I went to my garage with my youngest son and we made 24 perfect to near perfect flukes in a very short amount of time.

I would heat the plastic, fill the injector, shoot the molds, and remove the finished product. Joshua(age 7) would trim the heads for me and put the excess back in the pyrex cup for reheating.

He would take a little too much off of a few of them, but I don't care. We had a good time together and he's being introduced to baitmaking.

If I could just get him to quit running jigs through every bait he sees, I'll have a partner in the garage and on the river.

Thanks for the help
