jrhopkins
here's the problem. i finished this lure with a phosphoresant finish and it looks great at night and in the water. i tried to do a video with my camera and the lure didn't show up at all. i can see background lights on the river bank but no glow from the lure. the camera picks up the still image good. figured it must be something with the video setting on the camera? this video was shot in the daylight. anyway, it swims great and glows real good in the water so i'll see what luck i have with it. mark poulson
That looks great, and swims really well. What kind of paint did you wind up using?
jrhopkins
That looks great, and swims really well. What kind of paint did you wind up using? hey Mark! haven't had much luck with paints. i used the powder from http://www.glonation.com/glow-powder.html painted the bait white , then sprayed it with polyurathane as an adhesive and sprinkled the powder on, let dry, shake off excess, repeat .the more powder coats will give it more glow. then recoat with a couple of coats of poly to lock the powder on. mark poulson
Thanks for the link John. I'll check it out. I fished a night tournament last full moon, and my partner caught a 10.26 on a spinnerbait! Wow, what a rush! I'll bet a glow in the dark swim bait would get killed!!!
