fisho74
Hi guys, Ive been making banana head spinnerbaits for a little while now. My question is in relation to the eyes. Ive been buying the typical stick on jobs from wtp but they have a tendency to lift off of the powercoated heads. Im selling these in a shop that i work for but need to come up with a better way. Does anyone have any better ideas on what i could be doing to create the eyes? Or at least stop them lifting? regards Darren
JSC
Epoxy Coat them. Also works a good % of the time is apply them before Bakeing. JSC
smalljaw
A coat of Devcon 2T will keep the eyes in place.
cadman
Clear coat the entire head with D2T. Devcon 2 Ton 30 minute as mentioned above and they will never lift off or come off again. Also the D2T gives the head extra protection from rocks and it definitely brings out and deepens the paint job in your heads. You can use that as a selling point for your customers. I am sure there are cheaper alternatives someone will metion here if you want. Edited August 9, 2010 by cadman
fisho74
Cheers for the reply guys. Ive never heard of the devcon stuff before, not available here in Australia that i know of anyway. Interesting idea about applying them before the cure, might have to try that. regards Darren
