jimbobwj
I'm planning on making up some spinnerbaits, single-spins with Colorado blades, for ultra slow rolling in deepwater and night fishing. I would normally use Sampo swivels for my spinnerbaits, but I was wondering if anyone out there has tried the Bass Pro Shop Pro Qualifier Swivels, the swivels with ball bearings at both ends? I really want these baits to perform at ultra slow retrieve speeds, and thought these BPS swivels might perform at slower speeds than the Sampos. Second question, I've read articles where anglers have used steel rivets on their buzzbaits to obtain a better "squeaking" sound on the retrieve. The only buzzbait rivets I've ever been able to find are made from aluminum. Anyone out there know where to obtain steel rivets, and any experience if a better "squeak" can be obtained with them? Thanks.
smalljaw
Welcome to TU jimbobwj, the BPS pro qualifyer swivels aren't going to spin at a slower speed a Sampo or Worth BB swivel, if you're looking to save money without sacrificing performance go with Worth and if money isn't the object then Worth or Sampo will be your best bet, as I said before, you are not going to find any swivel that spins as freely as those.
