Shad scent

Recommended Posts

Hey Chris, I tried that pro- cure shad scent. Man I haven't smelled a scent closer to the actual bait than this!

Only thing I didnt expect was the popping when you add it to hot plastic. Other than that this stuff is unreal.

Makes me wonder what the garlic is like?

Its price is higher, but man you just cant beat it!

Hey Mercury,

The shad scent reminds me somewhat of Berkely's power scent; nasty stuff, but it sure does work! I get a little popping in mine, but it usually dissolves in a few seconds. For some reason, the threadfin is the only one that bubbles. All others work great.

I LOVE the garlic scent. It's unlike any others. I used to be a huge fan of Kick N Bass until I tried Pro Cure. Their anise, bottom fish, and minnow scents are all good too. Give 'em a try..... :D

Yeah it pops for only a few seconds, then stops, but man it is like 10x stronger than lure crafts scents. LC is verry light after its in the plastic. But man this stuff is killer. I left it on a plate for a while and it was still giving off odor. It is the most realistic scent I have come across.

Pro-cure.com is their website. tons of stuff their, but look under the fish that your going for and they have somthing for it.

Another thing you can do is email them at sales@pro-cure.com and ask them if they have a dealer in your area. I found a dealer close to home and I actually pay about 50 cents less per ounce with them. If buying off the website, try to purchase in larger quantities. You can really get hosed on a 4 ounce bottle.

I found out today why the threadfin shad scent bubbles. A buddy of mine told me that it's listed as a bait "butter", as opposed to the other popular scents listed as "liquids". Now I can't really tell the difference. They're both liquids to me  ......He said the butters have an oil base which will bubble with extreme heat, and they are actually made to add to your baits after the pour. It all depends on your preference, but I don't mind a couple seconds of bubbling if I get those kind of results. I can tell you this......if you add the stuff in your mixture, that scent will last a heck of a long time. I fished yesterday with worms that were scented 5 months ago, and they were just as nasty as ever. :D

Thanks Merc....

I appreciate that :D

I am so sold on their product that I asked them about selling the stuff on my website; just some basic scents like the garlic, craw, and threadfin. Not many people have heard of Pro Cure, and they're unbeatable in my book. I'm trying to work out a bulk deal with them now. Hopefully, we can get it cheaper in the future.

Chris
