Bullsbug
Hi guys need some help with my junebug. The purple color is good but my glitter is showing more blueish than green. Do I need more glitter or possibably a different shade of green, and I'm using the fine glitter does this make a differance? One other thing I just ordered some more plastic and I got calhouns med instead of soft, I have softener, how much do I use for 4 and 8 oz batches. Thanks Jack
powerworm
order the kelly green glitter from bears baits i have found it to not bleed or turn blue. sometimes the shade of the plastic will also make your glitter appear like it has changed. you can cut 1 of your baits apart and actually look at it to tell; but i use the kelly green from bears and it never looks anything but green
thelatrobe33
Bear's Kelly Green is the ticket, as stated. Some of the glitters will change color when heated. My green from Del turns purple... go figure.
GB GONE
LC's green is fine as well. Usually green flake turns blue due to overheating the plastic or re-heating the plastic. Be sure to add your flake at the very last minute, stir and pour or shoot. I have not had problems with Dels green flake either. Watch temp and you will be OK with all. Bass-Boys
Jim's rite on.. it most likely is over heating.
Vodkaman
Usually the problem is blue flake turning green, blue flake viewed through yellow burnt plastic appears green. I guess this is a different problem then. Dave
Bullsbug
Thanks for the replys. I think my problem might be from overheating or remelting. And once again what is the best temp to inject at, I've been in the 315 to 335 range.
