txhawghunter
Hi everyone, First thing, Ya'll have a great site here, been doing lots of reading. I'm new to pouring my own plastics. Just started about a week ago and thanks to all of you on this site, I'm already addicted! Started out with a real easy one, a two part POP mold for a skirted jerk bait. Still working on making the skirt better but I'll get there. Anyway, my color question is about motor-oil. I used to buy bags of motor-oil worms here in Texas at a local marina, which no longer has them. These worms were kind of brownish in the bag (like a dark pennzoil) but turned a green color (almost like Quaker State) when put in the water. Any idea how to accomplish this effect? Thanks, Don
Kajan
Just use Motor OIl colouring to clear plastic, will give you effect you are looking for. Bear has some excellent Motor oil. www.bearsbaits.com, I also like MF's Motor oil, but they bleed if mixed with other colours.
