Madeye
Adapted an idea i read here a while ago. The post was about making some coloured plastic and pouring it onto some glass so it is flat. Then you place your baits of a different colour onto the flat plastic and it soaks up the coulour. What i did was made some blue plastic poured it onto some glass then while it was cooling got some purple and dark blue wax colour blocks and grated them over the blue sheet. What happens is you get blue plastic with purple and dark blue dots. These dots the soak onto the baits you place on. Have had fun making green with brown spots and purple with black spots. Sure you could substitue the wax blocks with dye and just drip small amounts onto the plastic. Another idea i have come up with but yet to try as i have no dye. Place a large amount of baits onto a tray. Place fly screen mesh over all the baits Fill a spray bottle with dye (reckon black would work well) Then spray over the fly screen. Remove when dry. Should give you a scale effect.
