mark poulson
I am trying to match the Yamamoto cinnamon color that he uses for his cinnamon/purple flake hula grubs. It's like a lighter, milk chocolate color. Almost like there's some white mixed with the brown. I'm stumped. Does anyone here have any ideas, or know of a manuf. who makes a plastic colorant that matches that color?

Check out the search engine for it. I would but I'm off to bed! Edited September 18, 2010 by 152nd Street Baits

mark poulson
For 4oz no salt 24dps brown,14 black,1 red, 5 white Roger, Whose colorants are you using? I need to add salt for weight, and to get the fish to hold on a little longer, so I have to factor that in. I may flour the salt and use it to take the place of the white colorant. D.J.
M-F's cinnamon color is almost dead on for yamamoto's cinnamon. Add a tiny bit of salt and you have it. The purple flake will change the color a bit, as noticed by the difference between Yamamotos #176 cinnamon, and their cinnamon/purple. M-F's cinnamon color is almost dead on for yamamoto's cinnamon. Try this post: http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/8613 Del also posted a picture of an Ika type bait in another post that was right on the money for 221. The plain cinnamon with black flake has gotten darker over the years and is no where near as brown looking as the 221. It almost looks like a dark smoke that is lightened by the salt in the bait. Thanks for saying the color has changed. I thought I was crazy. The cinnamon/black flake I have is tranlucent, with a slight grey look. It's their #176 The cinnamon/black and purple flake I have, #221, is totally opaque and looks nothing like their color chart. Even the skirts, which have no salt, are opaque. I'm scratching my head, and other places, trying to figure that color out.
