Markell
O.K. I got my drying wheel finished and I can now turn 24 baits at a time. I have a few questions about the devcon for a top coat. It seems that I can get at most 3 jigs covered then the devcon starts to get thick. (just a few min.) by the way, I am not using the 5 min. Can I add anything to it to buy some more time? Once I have turned the baits I see small patches that were not covered. It looks like small pockets. Should I touch them up and put them back on the dryer? Will it blend well with the already hard Devcon? How long should I keep them turning? Right now I have been leaving the wheel running at night for about 8 hours. Hey Red, I would post a picture of the drying wheel but it is not the prettiest thing I have ever made Once I get comfortable with this process I am going to design and build one that suits my needs better but right now it seems to do the trick. Thanks!
Richoc
Yes, Cut with Lacquer/Epoxie thinner. Can get it in just about any paint dept. Mix it in throughly and just enuff to make it work able. Been doing this for along time, if you make it to runny just wait it will thicken as the thinner evaps.
