Rustimus Posted October 17, 2010 Report Share Posted October 17, 2010 bought a 6 cav. 2" curly tail crappie jig mold (alum). tried to hand pour but the tails wont pour. seems its going to take some force. do i need to buy an injector or try and heat the mold a little before pouring? Frank Posted October 17, 2010 Report Share Posted October 17, 2010 Without a picture of the mold let me say if it has one place to put plastic in then you need an injector. If there is six then you can hand pour. Depending whos mold it is will designate who you will need to get the injector from. Basically if it is a mold from jacobs you will need to get his injector. I think pretty much all others will fit each other. His tip on his injector is smaller to fit his molds. Maybe you could post a pic of the mold just to make sure. Hope this helps.
