Richard Prager
I've had both Delw's and Bear's versions. Both are very close. Bear's is almost dead on as far as size. Delw's is a hand pour and Bear's is injection. I prefer the injection allot more. You also have the option of getting a mold just for tips for a few dollars more. They work like a dream. tt400
152nd are you using the full round or the flat sided bait? Bears flat sided bait looks like the flat side is way larger than the Zoom.
Richard Prager
152nd are you using the full round or the flat sided bait? Bears flat sided bait looks like the flat side is way larger than the Zoom. I was referring the the flat sided mold like the Zoom Trick. Side by side they are identical except in one spot. The place where the thinnest part of the worm is, right above the diamond tail. Bear's is just slightly smaller. Slight enough that if you didn't compare the two side by side you wouldn't be able to tell. That's what I did and that's why I bought several of them and 2 tip molds. daveh
i use both bears flat belly and dels full round. i have more people wanting the full round but bears flat belly is just about dead on zoom. i use them a lot. the main thing about eather is getting the salt content down if you throw them wacky sytle. GB GONE
Bear's is almost dead on as far as size. Delw's is a hand pour and Bear's is injection. Del has his in injection as well as hand pour. Tips are also available. I believe Kevin at Basstackle also has one very close and can make it with the slide bar so that you don't have to buy the additional mold for tips. You just inject the tip and then the worm. Just other options. From baits I have held in my hand, Bear's seems to be the closest match. tt400
Thanks for all the great replys. Do you guys see a difference in the action of the bait between the full round and the flat side? Also Dave any hints on your salt content as I do use them wacky style. The full round is of course a beefier bait. I've had delw's 7.25" and 10.5" round and have caught more and bigger fish on those 2 than anything else. I usually throw the 7.25 on a shakey head and the big 10.5 weightless with a frog hook. They both work well wacky also. I would be on to fish using the flat side, then throw out the full round and start catching better quality fish immediately. You can't go wrong with either of them and you can never have enough molds. Right, Dave?

Also Dave any hints on your salt content as I do use them wacky style. i use 20 dashes of salt in 4oz of med 502 plastic. i also add a cap of softener because the salt will harden them up. been using this recipe for 4 years and i tear up the bass. i sell a lot of them and even the guys that drop shot and shaky head them want salt in them. i say out of my over 200 molds the full round 6in has caught more fish than any bait i make. now if you never held one in your hand the full round looks big a lot bigger than the flat belly trick. but man they catch fish. and richard you can have to many molds. i do and am mold pour. but it beats buying that junk at wally world. BlazerSC
I have Lurecraft's trick worm and thought that was almost exact, anybody else use LC's trick worm? I have both I use Dels mainly for shakey head it's a little thinner and use LC trick worm for TRig & CRig it's thicker. Dels finesse worm is better than the original in my opinion for either tactic. gone2long
I believe the tip mold is an injection mold but you shoot the tip mold 1 color then demold cut and insert into the primary mold and proceed to shoot the main body color. That's exactly how you do it. If I have time tonight, I'll post pics of the process.
