navarre66
Hey Guys, Just wondering if anyone can help with a problem making a mold. This is Mad MAn's nail worm, They are no longer produced and I was trying to copy it. I have tried molding plaster, Pop, DWP. The samples are either totally encased or just the fored tails. I am using Longhorn's tutorial for POP molds. What am I doing wrong? Iused the same method on several others and they turned out great (even for a beginner, Longhorn's instruction was perfect)here are a few samples of the worm. Again I need some help, this worm is the reason I started making molds for in the first place. Any help will be appreciated, I only have about 40 worms left. thanks Nav
GB GONE
I can see where the tails might give you a fit. Get the baits straightened well, especially the tail prior to molding. I think the thickness of your pop is crucial to getting the tail just right also. A little more on the thick side will help. On another note, you may want to just make the worm with the tail cut off and dremel the tail in after. It would be fairly easy to make the mold then. If you really want them done and can't get a good mold, I am willing to try for you. No promises but I have made so many now I think I might be able to get that one done. I do them for the challenge, no $$$. Jim
