Blueriversmallie
I made several spinnerbaits for a client. They had a size 2 colorado blade and a size 4 willow. I used a size 3 clevis to attach the colorado to the wire. Client said the colorado did not spin unless it was reeled in fast. I know the holes in the clevis were large enough. Do I need to go down to a size 2 clevis or up to a size 4? Does is really matter? Is the #2 colorado hard to spin? Thanks Terry
smalljaw
What size spinnerbait are we talking about? From the blade sizes I'm assuming it was a 1/4oz bait, one thing you have to remember when using small secondary blades is that spacing and wire angle an critical in having the blade spin. A pic of your bait would help but if you don't have one its ok, just fix the spacing and try that, get the small colorado blade closer to the main blade, use no more than 2 spacer beads and see if that works. Blueriversmallie
It was on a 3/8oz. S.O.B. knock off. The wire was perfectly paralel to the hook. Went up to a size 3 colo. blade and put a little angle on the top wire. I studied pictures of the SOB and noticed the bigger blade and slight angle.
