New Guy Here From Georgia

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Just found this forum and I'm looking forward to trying my hand at this madness. My name is Brad Singley and I live here in Griffin, GA with my family. I am a knifemaker on my days off from the fire dept. I posted a picture of one of my custom knives for you to see what I do. I will have lots of questions for you guys on a way to approach crankbait building. First order of business is an airbrush, I'm open to suggestions? I look forward to learning from you guys, thanks.

Sincerely,

Brad

Welcome to TU Brad.

Nice work on the knives. That is at least one item you will not have to buy.

Figure out how much you want to spend and keep in mind the other items that go along with the airbrush, compressor, hoses, water trap, spray booth (home construction), lighting etc. Iwata is a popular quality brand amongst lure builders, but their are others.

Welcome!

Here's my stock recommendation for guys looking for an airbrush: Master G22 airbrush & compressor combo. It's inexpensive, and it works very well. I've had mine since this past june, and I really like it. This is a good way to get into airbrushing for a low start-up cost. This is the only airbrush I have, and I'm perfectly satisfied with it.

I hope this helps.

Ben
