navarre66
Hey guys, I'm about to purchase my first injection mold and injectors. I was wondering if I can use molds from one manufacturer and injectors from another. I.E. Bear injectors and del-mart or bass tackle molds. Thanks Nav
TAE73
I know for sure that Bear, Caney Creek, and Basstackle are all interchangeable with each other.. Not sure about Dels.
Frank
Yes the injectors from the makers you mentioned will fit each other. The only mold maker that I know of that uses a smaller sprue is Jacobs but he sell an adapter for others to fit. Make a good choice and you will be happy. Frank Frank, Do any of them sell injectors with locking tips, like your double injector?

Frank
Seams one of our new sponsors has one out now at Caney Creek. I am guessing it will fit the same molds. Honestly though a tip that does not come off when you evacuate or take it off the mold is the ticket. I have had them do that and it is real annoying to go fishing for the tip in hot plastic. Now this is just my opinion and know it may get a few people a little upset but the tip in my opinion does not need to fit inside the port. A tapered cone like Jacobs design does just fine. The only thing a fit inside tip does is seal better and cause flashing from to much pressure. These are my opinions and are from experiance in actually using the injectors.
