xrap
Anyone ever try Polytranspar paints for lures? They have waterbased and are used for taxidemists. Some realistic looking colors.
BobP
I use any brand, just depending on the colors available. My favorite Polytranspar is the Super Hide White, which is the best color basecoat I've ever used. It has lots of pigment to hide underlying color, dries fast to a smooth hard surface. silverdoctor
I use the superhide as well thanks to Bob. While not an expert, I've had the opinion that this product (in addition to the superhide) has better adhesion than others. One of the colors that gave me fits is the orange. It does not cover very well. The company is very easy to deal with. Edited November 24, 2010 by silverdoctor
