ethan3
I got some coloring off of del-mart today and used green pumpkin. For about 5 oz of soft plastic, I used 8 drops and it came out more like a watermelon color. Should I be using a lot more drops of his coloring? The same thing happened for his junebug color. They are both really light and see-through. Thanks

If i'm making green pumpkin, ill use about double the drops the recipe calls for 4oz
alsworms
Try mixing some drops of brown or one or two of black. If i'm making green pumpkin, ill use about double the drops the recipe calls for 4oz Good call. A drop or 2 of black will work every time for darker colors. Find the mixture that works for you and go from there. Also keep in mind that certain brands of colors are not like others. Example: MF's pumpkin is like a light cinnamon. Nothing at all like a pumpkin color. Lure Craft's newer motor oil is not really motor oil, but Del's is dead on. They all have pros and cons. When I was pouring, I had all different brands on my shelf. Just be patient. You'll get it!

Pigment settles fast blues settle extreamly fast as well as white cause they are heavy. that will get you pure color again and allow you to use less drops, plus give you a consistant color for the entire bottle.
