Small Injector Or Big Injector

Recommended Posts

I am looking at the twinjector from Basstackle. I see there is a 3 oz and a 6 oz twinjector. I am only shooting baits for myself, no production line of any sort. Am I better with the 3 oz or the 6 oz? Is one better or easier to work with? If I get the 3 oz, am I going to wish I got the 6 oz? I am looking for the pros and cons since I do not have any experience with injectors.

Without a doubt all you need is the 3oz. The other is gonna be harder to work with because of its size. I have the 3oz and i can shoot at least 3 different molds without sucking more plastic up. Frank has some great videos on this. Just go to franksrooty 2 on utube and watch them. Remember you are actually shooting 6oz of plastic because you have two injectors.

I use mine mainly with the blending block (Basstackle's) so it is tough to empty 12oz of plastic without the blending block or injectors clogging. Can be done but you really have to hustle and have plenty of molds to boot!

I am in your shoes. I am just starting my adventure in the worm making world. I have up to now poured my own lead heads.

I ordered the 6 oz. Twinjector from Basstackle and when i received them they were very large. Too large for my personal pouring use. I phone Kevin and explained my situation. He was very friendly and helpful. He told me to return the 6oz jectors In the meantime he sent me a 3oz injector as a loaner until he could ship out the 3oz twin jectors. He even threw in some worm oil and hand written instructions.

I know I am new to this but the injectors appear to be very well made.

By the way, thanks Feank for posting your videos. They are very informative.
