Basscandy92040
I have several, straight tail, curly tail, fat head, skinny worms, swim bait molds, 3", 4" 5" zipper worms...etc...I like them alot....I dont think you can beat the prices especially if you buy 10 molds of the same type you can save 15%. yes they come out shinny...very...I have my baits in a few stores here in San Diego.... Hope this helps....Cliff Looking for coments on the plastic worm molds sold by Lurecraft? Do you have one? Does it work well? Do the baits come out shinny/glossy? gone2long
I second that if you are starting out they can't be beat, I have around 50 or so molds and they work like a charm but they do have a draw back if you like fully rounded baits, but I have most that are offered by big bait companies and they are as good or very close to identical, take for example z**ms trick worm on left http://i133.photobuc...ky/DSCF0236.jpg The 2 baits on the lower left are before tail splitting and the 3 on lower right are fully rounded from 2 piece aluminum. PNF the 2 upper right are what you are interested in the first one is 7 inches the other is 5 inches also a few are custom made with silicone. Do the baits come out shinny/glossy? Thanks PnF I assume you're talking about their RTV silicone, hand -pour,open faced molds. I'll answer YES to all three of your questions. After a number of pours using salt, your finish will become dull on RTV silicone molds. Purchase some food grade silicone and very l-i-g-h-t-l-y spray each cavity after 2-4 pours and they'll become shiny again
Pencils-n-flies
MrBilky & cliff- Thanks for your help. Thanks for the photo examples MrB! I understand what you mean about one side being flat.. Once you pour plastisol into the mold how long before you can peel it out? Also- before you pour the plastisol into the mold, do you spray any worm oil or vegetable oil? Thanks PnF I don't as there is no need to the finish is excellent right out of the mold no sticking and it only takes a few minutes to demold. Basscandy92040
No problem...I do not put anything in the molds. I have tried spraying slicone spray to see if I could get the baits to come out better.....Not needed. Depending on the baits, just a few minutes for demolding....if you need any help let me know...
