EricF
Hey Guys, I don't make a huge number of lures, but I do some - mostly for pike. Somewhere I heard a trick of using bike spokes for the wires for the spinners. The idea being they are much less likely to get bent and trashed by the pike. So, I found myself some bike spokes. Now my problem is clevises. Can't find any with a hole large enough for the bike spokes. Anyone come up with a work around for this problem? Know of a source for extra large clevises or make their own? Thanks

You can find 15" 0.62 here : 0.62 wire shafts

Thanks mark poulson uses bike spokes as pins for his swimbait joints , ......I've made a couple of large inline spinners before with a wire shaft of 1,5 mm welding wire , ......if I remember right , I have utilized the largest clevises available at My link for these , but I guess , that most spokes are still somewhat thicker(the bore diameters of the clevises are stated in the catalog , if my memory serves me right) ? Probably you need to make your own clevises ,...... a bit finacky , but it should work out. good luck , diemai
