keysd13
I got a shaky head mold for xmas and tried it out today. The head of the lure is not tight around the shank of the hook after pouring. I preheat the mold and pour a couple heads without hooks before I start. Any ideas why this might happen. thanks from a newbie.

cadman
If you aren't doing this then try it. Let the lead solidify and cool a couple of seconds before you take the jig out of the mold and make sure you grab the jig by the sprue, when you remove it from the mold cavity.
