bassfhermn
I was looking in to making some chatterbaits but I am not sure about the jig head, and how to attach the blade to the jig head. Can anybody help get on the right rack to building these.

t-billy
Barlows Tackle also has everything you need to make chatterbaits. High quality stuff and great service. Make sure you check out their custom skirts while your there. They're 60 strand and make a much fuller looking bait than regular skirts. Black/blue chatterbaits have become my #1 night bait for bass shallower than 10' with 1/2oz being the most versitile. Also the turbo blades perform better than the standard blades. Best regards,Tim. smalljaw
You can attach the blade to any jighead by using a split ring, you use 1 split ring if the jighead has a flat eye hook and use 2 split rings if the jighead has a regular hook eye. I've made them both ways and to tell you the truth, I like the bait with a normal hook eye and the blade attached using the 2 split ring method, this moves the blade a little further from the head and actually gives the bait even more side to side action, give it a try.
