GoneFroggin
I'd like to start making my own soft plastics but I don't know where to begin. I want to start off making frogs and work my way up from there. What are all of the essentials? Links to your favorite molds and other supplies would be very helpful too. Thanks. Happy new year! GoneFroggin
Also, has anyone ever tried the Swim frog mold on Jann's Netcraft? The price seems too low for it to be a quality product. http://www.jannsnetc...ds/440220.aspx# Same with this frog on LureCraft http://www.lurecraft.com/catalog.cfm/molds/plastic-molds/frogs/5x903:2632 Opinions on these two molds/frogs would be very helpful also Edited January 1, 2011 by GoneFroggin
gone2long
Try one of these folks, great products and all have a starter kit and materials needed, welcome to the madness : http://www.bearsbaits.com/ http://www.basstackle.com/ http://www.del-mart.com/shop/home.php And make sure you read up well on Jannsnetcraft all reports I've ever read is that they are trash and quite dangerous to use now mind you I have never personally used them but all reports are that they are. powerworm
i believe all of the manufacturers will make you a kit and price it accordingly for the mold/molds you would like to start with. just starting out choose colors and baits you know that you would use yourself!! Zeiners, is who i bought my starter kit from.. i did some research and it was the best price on the bottles of MF plastic that I cld see. He did charge me a bit xtra for the shipping cause of weight, which was kinda a hidden message, but i'm happy. Just waiting on a microwave now and imma hit up walmart for some pyrex cups. The frog is alright, not the best, but ok. The sweeptail grub is great, great action, same with the senko and the fluke. The plastic is not the best, but it works. I would suggest Lurecraft.
