CARP104
Has anyone actually made their own silicone skirts on here? I'm talking about pouring the silicone into a flat mold or rolling (flattening) it out? If anyone has had any success with this I would be highly interested in hearing your procedure. I want to make my own colored skirts rather than buying premade strands from a retailer. Edited January 11, 2011 by CARP104

SHK
he is talking about making silicone skirts for jigs and spinnerbaits. may be better to ask over in the wire baits forum though
CARP104
he is talking about making silicone skirts for jigs and spinnerbaits. may be better to ask over in the wire baits forum though Correct. I am referring to the silicone skirts commonly used on jigs. I want to actually make the silicone sheets myself and cut it into strands. If anyone has any experience with this please chime in. bass100
I am not an expert by any means but I was told that the silicone skirts are pressed and vulcanized when made.
