powerworm
very carefully dont go into the channel that the element runs thru. use a 3/8ths pipe tap and a 23/62" drill bit i believe dont remember for sure on drill bit size
gone2long
I tapped mine with if I remember correctly an NPT pipe thread tap and as stated I tapped mine so I was just about touching the element with the nipple, that gives you the best performance on reduced clogging of your valve, also keep the nipple and valve assembly as short as possible, you may need to dry fit the assembly first to ensure a good fit. Saugerman
Does anyone else have trouble getting the hot plastic to flow through their valves on the Presto Pot? I have 2 and I have to take a small torch and heat the valve to get it to flow at all,and then it just barely does, even if the plastic is 360 degrees.I bought a new valve from Bears to try, because I thought maybe he used a different type. I have not installed it yet, but It looks the same to me.
