igotwormsbad Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 im new to this stuff but i have read alot here and elsewhere and have got myself a stik kit from delmart. to put it mildly, im hooked. ordered 3 more molds after having the kit for a week. ive always wondered what to do with the time and money i dont spend on fishing and it appears ive found something lol. i was wondering what brand of colors you guys recommend and why. Pitbull Baits Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 I use just about everybodys colors. I use MF greenpumpkin cause its the shade we use a lot where I live at. Then I will use Bears candy apple red cause its a perfect match to red bug. The only thing wrong with any given suppliers colors is sometimes what you have gotten accustomed to gets discontinued and replaced with something similar and you have to tweak your recipe. What I did when I started was I put together imaginary orders from the various suppliers and placed the order that looked like the best value for the money I had to spend at the time.
