FuzzyGrub
I have a Kickin Frog mold that can go from usable to severe binding in a minute. I have tried numerous oils, and penatrating fluids. It helps a little, but then binds again. Someone suggested removing the roll pin. I slowly started to press that out, but noticed that the other end wasn't moving. This means there are two pins. Now my concern is that the hole does not go all the way through and the pins will not be removable from the center section. Has anyone taken the pins all the way out? I'd like to know for sure before I possibly waste a mold. If you have but found only one pin vs two, that may indicate a design change at some point. Please indicate what you have found if you performed this operation. Thx. PS: I have an email into Bear, to see what he recommends. But given the weekend and Monday holiday, don't expect to hear anything until mid/end of next week. I'd like to get this wrapped today, if possible. dlaery
If it is a roll pin, take a small wire and see if wire will go all the way through.
toadfrog
Have you tried powder graphite . Open the mold completely as far back as you possibly can. Work it back and forth a lot blow out the hinge area with high pressure air. Apply powder.
FuzzyGrub
If it is a roll pin, take a small wire and see if wire will go all the way through. The wire goes all the way through, but I don't think I can verify it is the full diameter all the way through. I would think it is, but was surprised it was two pins vs one.
