woodsac Posted March 11, 2004 Report Share Posted March 11, 2004 What's even funnier is, she is not patenting a light inside of a fishing lure (that was already taken) Instead, the patent is for a 'laser type' light attached to the line. Like the kind you buy at the store for your keychain for $3. The logic was that people are not willing to pay high prices for the lures with the light inside, because they are often snagged and lost. This way, the line breaks and you loose the lure, not the light. Awwww...now I get it! Now we just need to build a completely waterproof container that can cary a battery, be submerged in the water, beaten off of rocks, and still be able to emit a light when you retrieve the lure. Someone clue me in on how to avoid that.... Granted, there's no "final value" fee if it doesn't sell.
