red dog
Looking to add scent to my hand pours, can I use liquid power bait or is it water base. I see LC has scent's but they are kind of pricey. Any recomendations? thanks in advance.
saggitarius449
Bears sells some great scents, they are highly concentrated. You only need a few drops per bag. http://www.bearsbaits.com/Bears-Juice-_p_127.html#

Madeye
Very disapointed with Bears shrimp scent. Smeels nothing like shrimp or any other shrimp scent. Smells like rancid pottato chips. Havnt tried anyy other scents. I now make my own scent that my customers love. Get pure aniseed oil. Put it in a bottle and add heaps of ground coffee, Leave this for a week before draining the oil. Water down you scent with worm oil. I use a 5.1 ratio I also found a coffee fragrence i have started to add for a bit more coffee smell Best thing is you smell like coffee and licorish after fishing/pouring

Pitbull Baits
Smelly Jelly Sticky liquid or CB's Hawg Sauce Sweet and Sassy oil based also works good.
bassassazzin
Thanks for the plugs Da Big Tuna & Adam ( Next Level Lures )....appreciate your input. Just letting everyone know we launched a new scent back in fall> TRIPLE THREAT. It's a combination of Shad, Leech and Nightcrawler. Sold out at the Madison Fishing Expo this past weekend! Most of you know that you can't find a better, stronger scent on the market. Thanks again. upperhandscents Edited March 4, 2011 by bassassazzin
red dog
By the way I did try mixing liquid power bait with plastic and it swelled up with bubbles in the pirex cup when heated, so it is water base, lesson learned. Terry Anderson
Just ordered some Upperhand Scents to add to my plastics WHILE pouring....what are your thoughts? Cooking the scent into the plastic VS adding scent to the bagged product? I have bought plastics BOTH ways and quite honestly cannot say one way or another which I believe is better. But now that I am pouring my own trailers and worms.....would like YOUR opinions.

For me berkley power bait has always worked well and there scent is cooked in. The reason I want to cook my scent in is so I don't get it all over my hands and boat.
