charkins
What is a goby? We don't have them here in Oklahoma Cal
Big Splash
It's a slimey little bait sized fish. Looks like a sculpin at first glance. I think it may be an introduced (pest ) species in North America. We don't have 'em here in B.C. either, but I believe they are in the Great Lakes. BigZ
There are many types of gobies, salt and freshwater, but the one that gets the most attention by fishermen is a brackish fish. We called em "mudsuckers" when we were kids. My brother and I used to put on a salmon egg hook and throw it in the shallows to catch them for bait in the SF Bay/delta. They make great bait for Stripers and halibut....Unfortunately they were probbaly intoduced from Asia like so many other bad species here ie: mussels, mitten crabs,CARP, etc.....
