Kermodebaits
I dont have a website or business but have sold some baits on classified forums and just use Pay Pal. I usually just send a Pay Pal invoice to the customer.

jesse1378
i use paypal to buy baits/ molds from people..i send the mney as a gift that way the 3% is not taken out and they get the exact price. beside your website, word of mouth goes a long way. join a local bass/fishing club give out a couple bags to people...also find a local fishing forum...and lastly find a local bait shop and give them a few bags to hand out to their regulars and sit back and let the wildfire begin

Credit card fees are the price of doing business - include the 4% in your shipping charges. The killer is the quarterly form #720 - 10% of gross sales to the I.R.S. for manufacturers. Da big tuna
Paypal is the way to go. No matter what you use you have to pay something for any service provided. Feebay as I call it, is 10 cents to list plus 10% of the final sale price. Now add in shipping. Remember you have to add the cost of your packaging into the shipping cost or your bait price, You choose the evil its still a cost when your counting beans. Then add the cost of pay pal. So when you figure your time ,electric,Computer ink, All the hidden stuff that you think is a small cost , pray you have something left over. Want to drive traffic to your site so people can find you? Google ads campaign I'm running now and I have tripled traffic but not sales . Pay per click for advertising is interesting way to go. If your good at writing meta tags for your site people find you but I have over 1000 visitors a day on my site. I sell ice jigs so my season is winding down a little so Im on the wrong end of a Google ads campaign. Those are things you learn after a while. John WWW.icemanjigs.com No matter what venue you use, there is no free lunch. If you use Pay Pal, Fees. If you go with E Commerce site to collect with credit card. fees Apply. Or you can just get a credit card machine for home use. This will still cost you a flat fee for each use and a monthly rent fee. If you are just starting out in your business? you better be legal, because with each sales there is a paper trail that the IRS can track your sales. You must pay 10% to the Fed. Excise tax board. and any local state sales will require a local state sales tax.
Pitbull Baits
I would just start selling to your buddys first if you are that new to pouring. Just start out as a hobby and grow it. Cause you won't make much money if any at first. Then you get tired of pouring all the time. Then are you set up to pour 500 to a 1,000 baits in a small amout of time? If your going to sell them I would start out on ebay so you can control the flow of orders. Fourms you can get over powered with orders or people wanting custom work done. You take to long or tell them you can't do it they could bad mouth you on that fourm and ruin it before it gets started.

I am close to trying my first paint job with the airbrush, just haven't had the time over the last week. When I start - I promise I will contribute to the site. However, I did feel a need to post on this subject. I don't mean to come in stepping on toes, so please don't take it that way. I would be VERY careful when sending a PayPal gift. As long as the transaction goes smoothly it is great. However, gifts do not provide any buyer protection. So if you send a guy a $100 PayPal gift and he never ships your goods, you are stuck and PayPal will do nothing about it. You may already know this and be familiar with the seller, but I just wanted to offer this advice in case you weren't aware of the gift policy.
