robertjp
Heres my first attempt at a photo finish lure thanks to Lincoyas technique he shared with us. I think Im semi pleased but will do a few things different the next time around. If it catches a musky I will be 100% pleased. Any comments welcome. Thanks Bob P. Note: This bait is about 9" long, big lip, and has black sparkles on top, 3 d eyes and 3 coats of Devcon. Creek Chub pattern

BassNator 1
I agree VERY NICE! I also made a Photo Finish lure and it came out ok. I'll post it later tonite or by tommorrow. The Computer is a little sick right now. (darn Viruses!) I also will do things a little different next time. The biggest issue is getting the HARD paper to wrap around the lure better. BUT it did come out rather nicely! Devcon AND Sandpaper out the wrinkles! I also am one who likes to add a little sparkle to the lures with a clear coat of Glitter. Even a coating over the photo adds a nice little sparkle to it. The only other issue is mixing of the paints to match the top or bottom. But Im getting the hang of it! Anyway good job on your lure, Im REALLY liking the photo finish! Just finding a tuff time looking for a good Shad or Minnow Picture to use. Hoosierdaddy
Here is a shad picture I have used to model a few paint jobs. I am sure it can be used for your next phot finish lure
RiverMan
Bass, Well this isn't "lure related" but I would suggest a couple things for your computer if you are not doing them already. All of these are free! 1. Go to this link, once there on the left margin choose AVG Free Edition and download the virus package. Update the package once per week and run the software on your machine. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php 2. This is a free virus scan of your machine, run this if you want and then download the software for continuos protection in number 1 above. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ 3. Download Ad-aware...this software searches out and find "spyware" that has been attached to your machine, great product and free! http://www.lavasoft.de/ You must also update the ad-aware about once per week. This is all I have on my machine and have not had a virus or any problem of any kind in years. jed

Hoosierdaddy
To be honest I have had that photo for about two years and I can't find it's source. In Kansas resevoirs where I fish the shad is the #1 foliage...so it follows suit that shad imitations are the best lures. Here are few different ones: http://www.catchphotorelease.com/shad3.htm http://www.river-striped-bass.com/threadfinshad.html This one is a good one if you add glitter as it's colors are darker and details very vivid: http://www.river-striped-bass.com/threadfinshad.html Finally a couple of great pics of a threadfin shad http://www.seeinstripes.com/threadfin.htm http://www.texomaguideservice.com/fishid/threadfin.html
