351mustang65
My next question is how many of you paint/pour and then light up a cigarette after your done? any thoughts? I have not smoked in years but even when I did smoke as a kid they did not make me feel sick like I do a lot of times after pouring.
Deerak
Dose anyone know of a way to get a cheap fresh air supply system or even maybe make one. I went to Norco and got a good respirator for $30. They sell either North or 3M ones that are really good for the price. Make sure that you talk to someone that works there though when purchasing one. They have different cartridges for different uses. One that you get off the shelf from Home Depot or Lowe's may not have the correct cartridges on them and completely defeat the purpose of even wearing one. The only bad thing is that you have to be sure that you have no facial hair in order for the respirator to properly fit. I look like I am 12 now and noticed that my beard knocked down a lot of the cold air on my face when I go outside. I hate the Winter. If you end up trying to build a forced air supply mask then don't use oxygen that is normally used in the welding industry. It is not 100% pure. I would also suggest that you not use pure oxygen of any kind. I've been told more than once that breathing pure oxygen can dry out your lungs and cause health problems. Or so I've been told by quite a few job site safety personnel. And you shouldn't use air that has been compressed by an oil lubricated compressor unless you have the proper filters to remove any atomized oil and contaminants.
