jsbass
Has anyone ever had an issue with the color grape (or purple) disappearing when cooking? I don't get it. I had this problem in the past but thought I just had a bad batch of colorant. I was making a color I don't make very often (Junebug) which is 75 Drops of MF Grape and 6 drops of MF Blue non-bleed. (per cup of plastic) Before you know it, the color Grape cooks right out of the plastic Did I not shake the bottle enough? Is it the color purple? Some one else must have had this happen before.....please help. Jack
parker085
I had some issue with Junebug the first few times I made it. My purple was fading. Trying add 10 drops of heat stabilizer, per 4 oz of plastic. Here is the post that I found that talks about heat stabilizer helping. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/5613-zoom-june-bug/page__p__36135__hl__%2Bgrape+%2Bheat+%2B__fromsearch__1#entry36135

You have to watch the heat with the grapes/black grapes Try heating slower and/or a couple of drops of heat stabilzer. If the grape was looking grayish that's what happened. Try not to have to do more than one reheat.
Basscandy92040
I too have had the problem....I think to much heat is the problem. I was using 20 LC purple and I had to up to 40 and watch the heat in my Lee pot....
