TDawg
HI all: Over the weekend I had an idea about the possiblilty of painting or powder painting a weed guard. Is something like this possible? I was thinking about trying to paint a couple of strands of the weed guard to match some of the silicone strands in my jig. What do you think? Thanks, TDawg
cadman
First of all powder paint won't work because you have to heat the powder to harden the paint. By doing this you will disfigure the weedguard. I guess you can try paint in a spray can. With that said they do sell colored weedguards. See link http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/Search/weedguards.aspx My question to you is why do you want to paint the strands? This would be a very slow painstaking process. You can also take clear weedguard strands and apply permanent colored marker over them. Let us know what works and how it comes out.
Crymdawg
I've also seen MULTI colored weedguards in several other catalogs. Check Barlows Tackle or Lure Parts On Line for two possible retailers.
