Microwave Safe Measuring Cups

Recommended Posts

I just went to a store to look for pyrex measuring cups, but they only had plastic, mircrowave safe cups. The pouring spout looked very good on the Sunbeam cup I saw there. Have any of you had any problems with heating plastic in a plastic cup that is microwave safe? Thanks

The hot plastisol ate a hole in the bottom of them on the first heating session. Mine were not Sunbean but they stated microwave safe.

Thanks. I was leaning that way too, but just wanted to check. I did pick up one of the plastic cups for measuring out stuff, but not to heat plastic. As I stood in line, I looked down at the measuring cup and 3 baking pans I was holding, and thought about how that was probably the first time I'd ever bought stuff like that.

The more you tinker the more your wife will get angry. That's just part of this addiction. She'll get used to it; lol; maybe.

I've been at it for some 25 years now and my wife finally gave up getting mad just the other day.:rolleyes:
