Dirt-Town-Dawg
I just went to a store to look for pyrex measuring cups, but they only had plastic, mircrowave safe cups. The pouring spout looked very good on the Sunbeam cup I saw there. Have any of you had any problems with heating plastic in a plastic cup that is microwave safe? Thanks

Thanks The hot plastisol ate a hole in the bottom of them on the first heating session. Mine were not Sunbean but they stated microwave safe. TBaits
I would think that they would normally be used to heat food in etc. and not something that gets to 350 degrees or more. Water boils at 212 degrees, so I doubt they would hold up like smallmouthaholic says.
Dirt-Town-Dawg
Thanks. I was leaning that way too, but just wanted to check. I did pick up one of the plastic cups for measuring out stuff, but not to heat plastic. As I stood in line, I looked down at the measuring cup and 3 baking pans I was holding, and thought about how that was probably the first time I'd ever bought stuff like that. That's just part of this addiction. She'll get used to it; lol; maybe. I've been at it for some 25 years now and my wife finally gave up getting mad just the other day. www.novalures.com
