alsworms
Well the first step in recovery is admitting you have an addiction. Seriously, those look awesome! Keep up the good work!
mattwv
I'm in the same boat with the mold making addiction. I've done a few of the creature style molds like that but the little flippers on the sides doesn't wanna come out right. Pain in the butt, I've cut and glued so many plastics together the last week it aint funny. LOL, oh well lots of fun and I too am getting better at it. FuzzyGrub
As a recovering mold making addict, here are some things to think about that might help kick or reduce the current infliction. (this is for the part-time hobbiest) First, figure out what date you will probably start fishing again. That is mid-April for me. Back-up a couple of weeks to de-winterize and prep the boat. Back up a couple of more weeks for getting all the reels tuned and maint, plus straightening out the gear you let go. Figure out what you plan for production runs, ie quantity of each bait type, plus color variations. and then back up whatever number of weeks that may be. Figure out what new color variations you need to expeirement with, before going to production runs. Figure all the boyancy tests and mixes you plan, sinking, neutral, floating, etc. Figure in all the household things that you have let slide during the addiction, that the boss won't let hit the water until you complete. Figure up all the other non-plastic related tackle stuff you plan. So, if you are like me, your timeline is somewhere back around Thanksgiving! Its Mid-February!!!!!!!!!! Two month before fishing!!!! OK, its time to put the molds down and start moving toward fishing season! Edited February 13, 2011 by FuzzyGrub
onlyonmonday
I am hearing if not just a national issue but most easily a world issue.. This can be a world love that if expanded, can STOP all hate in the world.. One huge problem with everyone doing it may turn into a very messy-ER problem.. Could this expand to eclipse the end of all time ?? Maybe we should all become MORE underground because we as a brother and sister of humanity, I find there MUST be other things to be done in our life besides mold making or being tackle addicts.. Is there a place that does detox for members of this wide community ?? How many relationships are history ?? Are you moldy ?? Terry Anderson
Nice work...that Beaver mold is "sweet" Telling my age here: 35 years ago, my uncle and I made "POP" molds for Fliptail worms. It was a blast then and I plan on doing it again as some of my favs are becoming extinct again. I can still remember the smell of melting plastic and the mess we made with POP and vaseline! heman
couple quick samples of the pours that came out.. i'm still new to pouring so they arent the best.. but i'm happy with the way the plastics came out otherwise. I just need more practice.
