steve187
Spent the majority of the day in the shop tying up a bunch of loose ends. Later in the afternoon I decided to mix a couple colors. Reason is I ordered some paint and when I got it I was disappointed to see that it was not quite what I had hoped for. What to do ? I had some brown that paints real nice and this other paint which was #68 I think, Root Beer from CSI. I mixed a bit at 50/50 and gave it a try. The brown completely overpowered the Root Beer at that ratio. Next time I'm gonna try 70/30 and see if I can get a little better blend. You can always add more but you can't take some out. www.novalures.com Edited February 25, 2011 by nova
RayburnGuy
Try adding tiny amounts of your dominant color to the lighter color until you get what your looking for. You can keep adding to your paint formula, but I haven't found a way to take it back out.
steve187
OK, thanks for the replies. I know how much of each component is currently in the mix and next time I am going to raise that by a fractional or percentage, mix it up real good and try it again. I'll keep upping the ratio until I see some effect that I like.
