Markell
How is it done? What type of dye? How well does the color hold up?
Coley
You can dye Lumaflex with several dyes. Rit works, but bleeds too much. Plastic worm dye works, also bleeds a lot. I like India ink. It comes in many colors goes on nicely with a small artist paint brush. Doesn't bleed much. And seems to hold up well. Also, it is waterproof. Don't forget to set your ink for a couple of days before using, JIM Are you referring to putting this in vinegar? If so, how do you rid the vinegar smell? Markell
What is India Ink and where can I get it?
Coley
I don't know exactly what it is, but you can get it at Dixie Art and Dick Blick on the net and most office supply stores. The office supplies will probably only have black. Hobby Lobby has it in different colors. Bombay is a name brand. There are many different brands of India ink. Markell
Celticav, What do you mean by "set your ink"? Also, do I need to stretch the lumaflex while dying it?
Celticav
Set the ink or it could run...like a red bath cloth turns a load of white clothes into pink clothes. JIM
