red dog
I'm using LC 552 medium strength green plastic, I tossed some of my hand poured worms in the sink and some floated right on top and others sank right to the bottom. None of these worms have salt added to them and they are all the same size with close to the same amount of glitter and poured out of the same jug of plastic. What gives? Why would some float and not others? I was looking forward to using most of these baits on a c- rig or shakey head/t-rig and want them to float. Any ideas. powerworm
go with a softer plastisol it will be more neutrally buoyant; the harder the plastisol the less buoyant in other words
Bass-Boys
the plastic may not have been stired up the same with each batch.. you mite have stired more hardner into the plastic in one batch. meaning the hardner that is settled to the bottom of the jug. make sure you stir,, stir,, stir ,, then,, shake ,, shake,,

Bass-Boys
add some softner to it. shouldn't need to much.
Bass-Boys
add some softner to it. shouldn't need to much. start by stiring it up completely.. then pour out say ...4 oz. then add 1 table spoon of softner to the 4 oz cook and test to see if the softness needs a tweak. gone2long
sure sounds like you may have air in the plastic, is it possible that you shook the bottle and imparted air into it, or is there any surface bubbles on the outside of the baits it dosen't take much. bass100
I used to have that problem several years ago but I was using other manufactures softner and heat stabilizer. Once I started using lurecrafts softner and heat stabilizer I had no problems. LC plastic will sink if you over heat it, once this happens I just add more heat stabilizer (not softner) and they float again. Sorry I just noticed you said green plastic I only used the regular. Fish Candy Bait Company
It most likely will be a stirring issue. I use the same "Green" plastic and have not seen any problems with it. I do shake it up real good before I pour it out to heat so I tend to think it is a mixing thing.
