Gloomisman
Thanks Jim. I'll give them a call probably tomorrow. I'm in need of some more and at 1/2 price of MF it might be worth a shot.

GB GONE
Received my "hard" pourasol..... To say I am FRUSTRATED, UNHAPPY with the process of heating this plastisol is an understatement. I have heated this stuff in 30 second increments and in a long increment to clear stage. Both equal MILLIONS of micro bubbles. I am wasting about 10 minutes per cup, just getting to the usable state (most microbubbles gone). I guess this stuff is not for the microwave. 5 gallons hard and 5 gallons medium for sale....... cheap.... powerworm
last year when bear carried plastisol from them that was the reasom he quit carrying it or at least 1 of the reasons. we got several drums like that last year also; but i did find a way to make it work for us it just cuts into your working time by waiting for the bubbles to disappear and this was with presto pots. but the sprues and runners went into the microwave with no problem but the initial heating was not fun bubble wise at all!! i have 2 samples of the medium pourasol and they both did the same thing as you described but in a presto pot. so we are going to stay with our current supplier but are awaiting for a supplier to step up and offer us all other options!! wnybassman
5 gallons hard and 5 gallons medium for sale....... cheap.... I am not even sure I'd take it if you gave it to me. lol I had poor results as well, but my micro has no power level settings. I guess if I could tone it down it would be better? The LC I use is much more forgiving. Ooops, I left it in for a minute too long, but it is still very usable. I really wish I could make it work with my system, because the price is very attractive. Red's Baits
Wow, the de-aired witch is the Ultra pourasol. I didn't have any problem with the batch's Bear had. I now cook most all my plastic in the Presto pot but before that it was a microwave. Maybe I am not in a big of a hurry as some. GB GONE
Maybe I am not in a big of a hurry as some. Has nothing to do with being in a hurry for sure. I cooked at 30 second intervals to get it clear. Tell me how to go any slower and still be able to get things done??? I have used only 3 brands since I started pouring. Calhoun's because I didn't know any better, then M-F and LC. With the later 2, I don't have to adjust my process to the plastic, it adjusts to my system. Pricing and service is extremely attractive and that is why I looked at it. It will cost more in time to use so savings is not there. PS The first time I bought the de-aired, there were so many bubbles it was beyond belief. I was called some pretty interesting names. Was told it was this and I didn't know what I was doing, etc. Come to find out (or at least this is the story), the stuff I got was filled with air as the person at the factory had the machine on backwards. Pumped air into the plastic according to the story. Now that was bubbles.... Jim

Basscandy92040
Well all I got my 10 gals of plastics 5 soft and 5 hard....pourasol.... I wanted to see what the bubble thing was all about. I took 8 oz of each and nuked it as I normally do....bubbles bubbles and bubbles....I put it my Lee pot and combined the hard with just see what happened....Odd thing was the bubble thing was no longer an issue...I did pour straight from the pyrex and it was a no go...Too many bubbles.... From the Lee pot it was good..... I tried turning the heat down on micro to a 5 and shorter lengths...still got bubbles..again I only used 8 oz...I dont know if it is different with more or not...I dont know about doing stick baits from the pyrex... The soft is really soft....Softer than the LC 536....The hard is not as hard as LC 500.....but seems durable...The hard anyway... Pros: Got it in less than a week even with the holiday weekend.... Price. came in 2 2.5 gal jugs. the 50/50 mix did pour easy from the Lee pot. 10 drops of LC purple and the color held well. Cons: Smoked more than LC. Smelled more chemicalish even anise sent I could still smell it bubbles in the pyrex in micro... I was able to yellow the hard stuff in my Lee pot at about 360 for not a very long amount of time...(LC 500 over an hour under heat and get a slight tint) Conclusions: I have 10 gals of this stuff so I guess I will try some different things and see what happens...maybe it will get better... I wonder how the better stuff it that they have.... My .02....
powerworm
even though you have bubbles in your lee pot they are still rising ever so slightly and your pot pours from the bottom there fore a lack of bubbles
GB GONE
Hey Jim tried sending a PM and also tried to send you and email from your website. PM me how much you want for the 10 gallons of plastic. I can't find a way to delete my PMs, just conversations. Email is working fine but sent you a PM. I will try to make contact with Spike It today for any ideas as I can't believe they would not test a hand pour product in the microwave prior to putting it out there. I tried another microwave with settings last night also. Lowered setting to low, cooked at 20 second intervals, BUBBLES.... Pot is the only way for this stuff. Basscandy92040
even though you have bubbles in your lee pot they are still rising ever so slightly and your pot pours from the bottom there fore a lack of bubbles Jon you are right...the bubbles were gone when I added the soft and hard together in the one full pot.....With the 8 oz of hard only there were tons in the pot and even when i poured clear only no color, there were bubbles...So I dont know if the amount of plastic makes a difference or what...I still need to play some more.. I think I am going to have problems when I do my sticks from the pyrex with all the bubbles...Maybe I should go get a presto pot to heat the plastic? Your thoughts? Thanks, Cliff

Thanks, Cliff depwends on how many sticks you are going to be making at a time? more than 100 of 1 color id use a presto pot but thats just me everyone has their own path i like not having to run to the microwave all the time i can put a gallon and a quart in mine and be pouring or injecting within 20 minutes. how long does it take you to heat up 2 cups in the microwave? then multiply that by10 so lets say it takes you (not by the timer) but roughly 6-8 minutes to get usable plastic in the microwave; you would spend 60-80 minutes doing a gallon and a quart

I took your advice and ordered more molds by the way....I will pick up a pot from Walmart when i get going.... Thank you for your information... Frank turn it up to 400 degrees and i checked it took 23 minutes to heat 5 quarts up i was guessing earlier today at 20 minutes so i was off a smidge my bad good catch though!! might be the heat lamp also to keep the top half of the pot warmer too but i turn them off once im at temp. not really heat lamps but those aluminum ones that take regular lightbulbs about a 12" dome. Thank you for your information... i am glad someone likes my info!! yes all my pots but 1 have stirrers in them i have gotten away from using them though once the plastic is to temp and using a dowel rod to stir occassionally with unless they are salted baits. and to be honest i had several sample bottles from lureworks/i-spike it and they all bubbled in the microwave. i have gotten several drums over the past couple years that were super bad with bubbles 1 inparticular that had what looked like foam on top there were so many bubbles. i really wish someone could make us bait makers a CONSISTENTLY bubble free plastisol that is both microwave and pot user friendly out of the jug!!
