Brushwacker
I'm trying to make a line thru swimbait. I have the soft single mold swimbait made but I don't have an idea on how to make the thru line type. Anyone have some tips?
Basscandy92040
I'm trying to make a line thru swimbait. I have the soft single mold swimbait made but I don't have an idea on how to make the thru line type. Anyone have some tips? I too have thought about it, never got around to trying to figure it out...I thought maybe a rod at a 45 deg angle throught the center line of the mold. Pour the bait remove the rod from the mold after bait is set up....You might want to copy the mold so you dont mess up the original mold...just an idea.... Brushwacker
Thanks, I've tried the rod thing , it wasn't very good. I'll keep trying and hopefully come up with something
den101
I was thinking, how about after the swimbait is poured & cooled. take a very small 1/16" metal tube and run it thru the SB to remove the plastic. then use a needle to thread the line thru the hole. or maybe cut a pc. of the tube & glue it in the SB? They would be pretty tough to do after it cooled. The best way is to have the rod go into the mold to pour around it and have the tube or insert held onto the rod. So it is there from the start.
