Just Poured 1000

Recommended Posts

OK I am bragging a little here over a little deal but I surprised even myself. I managed to pour the last of the 1000 hooks I had. Towards the end I was having trouble with the spout not pouring freely. I guess I'm not very observant because I didn't flux during the first 300 or so but I did after that and whatever difference it made, I guess I'm not sharp enough to tell. Next off is the snootie test.

BTW the pink message and checkbox is awkward isn't it.

See that wasn't so difficult after all. Job well done.

"BTW the pink message and checkbox is awkward isn't it." What does this mean????

Congrads! I stopped at about half that! What did you pour and how much lead did you go through?

So, you have:

- 1000 jigs to dip in paint,

- 1000 jigs to cure,

- 2000 eyes to stick on,

- 2000 eyes to epoxy over,

- 1000 brush guards to epoxy in,

- 1000 jigs to tie............

:D:D:D

I spent a number of hours tieing swimming jigs over the weekend. Still have about 10 snooties to do, and then 20 brush jigs.

I poured a combo of roundball and football. All are bass jigs. I'm not using the eyes yet. I leave that to my buddy with the crappie and walleye jigs. I've probably got 7 or 800 of them already painted. I'll be tying skirts and inserting weedguards for a while now. I want to get a brush jig. Which one do you use and what hook ?

I don't have a brush jig mold yet. I bought a number of unpainted jig heads from Ted (Cadman) last year. It included a couple of sizes of Brush Jig, PoisonTail, Grass jig, Snootie, and others. I just got to painting them, and will try them out this season. If I like them, will consider the mold purchase(s) for next fall.
