Web Site Programs

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I need some info. I am looking into building a new web site and was just wondering what program(s) r the best from start to finish out there. I need a program that will allow me to contiue to use Pay Pal. for my check out. I also need it to have a unlimited amount of space on the drop down menus. Pay Pals drop downs only give me 10 spaces. I need like 30-40. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Tim

If you know how to edit the html you can just add the options you want. I'm guessing you are referring to colors. Send me an email with the code for your button and I can explain it better by hilighting what you need to do.

Brian is the man! He will help. Adding the extra drop colors is simple in paypal but building a new site is not that easy.

Lots are going to tell you different software programs and many programs will take many hours to use and learn. Just remember this, most buyers are there to look at pictures of your baits (be sure they are good), to move around your site easy (be sure your links are correct) and then to buy baits.

Guys/gals don't care about fancy flash and crazy banners. They want to get on your site, order the stuff they see that they like and go back to something else, like fishing!!!

Just my opinion as an angler and AVID bait buyer!!!! :D

Jim

PS I use/used MS Frontpage and MS Web Expression. If I can use them, anyone can!!!

I use Microsoft Office Live. Decent yearly hosting fee, excellent amount of storage available, simple to learn, very flexible, and PayPal compatible. Like Jim said, there's a ton of available programs for building sites out there. I find it pretty fun to build them. I'm currently building another right now at handpourstore.com

WYSIWYG7 is out and its better then dreamweaver. Its simple to use and easy to figure out with the fourm they have for it. Its only $49.99 I think.

I have built a couple with dreamweaver and honestly it was pretty hard to learn at first... but you can do ANYTHING you want. I have not tried WYSIWYG7

I had homestead tech, 24.99 a month...didnt know any better...had to cut and paste shopping cart buttons and what not...

I just switched to godaddy...powered by a ecommerce shopping cart... super easy.....9.99 a month...

I attempted IMHosted, but couldnt figure it out.....with godaddy I was able preview my site in less than an hour...
