ScottC
Will an aquarium pump work for an airbrush? I have a chance to get a good size aquarium pump for fairly cheap and I was going to make some fluid beds and am wondering if I can use it for my airbrush as well? Doubtful, if you plug the end of the hoses the pump will eventually break. Its not like a compressor where there is a tank of air and a pump.. mkvnmtr
Look in the Home brew tools section of the forum. It seems that several guys have used those pumps for their fluid beds.
smalljaw
Fluid bed yes, air brush no. If cost is a problem a small oiless compessor can be had for 80 dollars or so, the aquarium pumps don't create enough air flow for for air brushing plus it doesn't have a holding tank so the air pressure would get backed up and cause the pump to fail.
