worm Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 I'm new to making baits and wanting to make the tail a different color.... can you pour the bait the color you want the tails remove the bait and cut the tails... put tails back in mold and pour the main bait... will the tail mold back to the main body??? lot of work .. is their a better way ??? gone2long Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 Yes you can do that or depending on what worm you looking at most of the mold makers, Bear, basstackle have worm molds and tip molds for the same worm you just shoot the tips demold and place in the worm mold and shoot. GB GONE Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 If you are hand pouring, you can avoid all that opening closing, pouring, curring etc. Just pour in the color you want as the tip/tail and then pour your body color. It takes some practice but quickly you can pour a batch of uniform baits in less time than you can do all the pouring and cutting.
