troutgnat
Gentlemen, We would all like to get more bang for our buck right? Who's using their jig molds to suit other needs. I've been trying to use my shaky head mold also for pouring lead heads for grub fishing. Here's my dilemna.......I would love to use my shaky head mold (SRH-6M-SLA) to pour 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 oz jig heads for fishing a 4" grub. I have found that a 2/0 hook fits most 4" grubs nicely, sometimes a 3/0 can get by but a little long. I actually like the cross-eye hook for grub fishing. Can I make this work??? Anyone know of the hook that will fit this mold for my needs? A sharp Blk/Nkl hook is a must. Thanks..................D
cz75b
I've used my banana jig mold for lure bodies (a cool off center shape and action) and with spinner forms and the teardrop shaped lure for in-line bodies as well. All without dremel modification. I'm thinking about a worm sinker mold for in-line bodies as well. I've used my spinner mold to produce buzz baits too just by changing the wire form. Its all about squeezing the most out of these toys. I'll follow this thread for more ideas.

I did make some to try swimming grubs with. I believe I used the Mustad 4/0 hooks it called for. Seems to fit my 4" bass grub fine, but I like the hook toward the back. I would think the 2/0 would fit the two smallest cavities. Usually you can go up or down 1 size of hook, without too many problems.
DUCBOS
I use my football head mold, don't know # the one with multiple sizes for 3 things. Regular football heads, swing jigs like the Biffel bug, and I use the small sizes to make wacky jig heads.
